Fredonia is the gateway to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and has been termed Arizona’s desert rose.  Our town is centrally located with access to National Parks, National Monuments, State Parks, and other scenic wonders.  We think you will enjoy visiting Fredonia and enjoying the views, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly hospitality.

FREDONIA TOWN COUNCIL

QUORUM PRESENT

JUNE 17, 2019

ON-SITE DAM INSPECTION

3:00 p.m.

Pursuant to ARS 38-431.01, notice is hereby given to members of the Fredonia Town Council and the general public that a QUORUM COULD BE PRESENT ON  JUNE 17, 2019 at 3:00 pm.

Item A: The council may be present at the Town of Fredonia Annual ADWR Dam Inspection scheduled for June 17, 2019 at 3:00 pm.  No official action will be taken at this meeting.

There are several Town Committees that are short members.  If you are interested or know of anyone that may be, PLEASE, feel free to submit a letter of interest to the Town Office.  For more information call 928-643-7241.

Benefits

·         Salary range $33,280 to $35,000 DOE

Requirements to apply

·         21 years of age

·         High school Diploma or GED equivalent

·         Reside within 15 miles of Fredonia, after completion of AZ police academy

·         Must be a US Citizen

·         Must be of good moral character, be in good physical condition, no felony convictions

·         Must hold a valid AZ driver’s license prior to appointment

·         Applicant must undergo and successfully pass physical agility test, written exam, and oral exam

·         Background screening prior to appointment to include background investigation, medical exam by a licensed POST certified physician, drug screen and polygraph examination.  For application, go to the forms tab, and click on deputy marshal application.

Fredonia Historical DVD Now Available

The Fredonia Historical Society is proud to present a remarkable centennial collection of historical black and white photographs.  The DVD is only $25 and is available at the library and Town Office.  Also available is the History of Fredonia book for only $10.  There is also a Cookbook available!
